The Middle School Math plan is now available on the aps1 server. Look left for the link to the plan.
At the School Committee we were told that if we have questions or comments about the plan these should be submitted to the middle school principals with copies to the School Committee.

Parents understand the program. They don't agree with it. Propaganda isn't going to solve the problem.
Using CMP as the basis for a rigorous curriculum is a problem.
Refusing to offer accelerated math in grade 8 is a problem.
Dimissing parent concern is a problem.
Expecting flexible grouping and extension materials to solve the problem is a problem.
What is so wrong with giving these kids what they need?
What is so wrong with just offering a grade 8 accelerated math class?
